TWO Ballymoney brothers have launched a new business which allows members of the public to get behind the wheel of cars normally reserved for film stars and Premier League footballers. Philip and Jonathan McAuley have just set up Ecurie25(NI) - Northern Ireland's only super-car club offering some of the world's finest cars for hire.
Some of the vehicles on offer include the Ferrari 430 F1 Spider, Aston Martin DB9 and the brand new Lamborghini LP560 - one of the world's most sought after cars with a price tag of a cool £170,000.
Those wishing to get into the car of their dreams simply sign up for membership with Ecurie25NI and are allocated credits.
These credits are then used to hire whichever car they choose for a given length of time.
The customer chooses their vehicle on the company's site and it is delivered right to their door a few days later.
The scheme has proved a huge success in Scotland as well as London and Newcastle.
"The response has been excellent so far," Philip told the Times.
"We have various perks for founder members so places have been snapped up very early.
"Since I was knee-high I loved cars.
"I've spent a fortune on them over the years but had this kind of system been in operation I personally would have opted for it rather than purchase the vehicles.
"This is aimed at car lovers who own normal vehicles but wish to treat themselves to driving a super-car now and again.
"Those wishing to join have to meet certain criteria but largely anyone can be a member.
"You are given 'credits' when you join, and you use them up as you drive.
"That means you'll enjoy up to 50 days and unlimited mileage in a fleet of cars worth millions, depending on which membership package you choose, and it won't cost you a penny in insurance, depreciation or garage bills.
"The benefits really do stack up. Cars can be delivered anywhere in Ireland. "
The Ecurie25NI Club will be launched at Galgorm Manor this Saturday where guests will be treated to a showcase of some of the best cars around such as Lamborghini LP560, Aston Martin DB9 and BMW M3 v8.
The cars will also be available to view all week before the NW200 races and a car will be out between races on race day.
