The awards which are held at Villa d'Este located on the shores of Lake Como pay tribute to the most beautiful Concept cars as well as classic and vintage cars each year since 1929. This year, Aston Martin took the opportunity to take the wraps off the first completed One-77 at this renowned awards ceremony and promptly took home the top prize in its category. With a total of eight entries in its class from all over the world, the One-77 was voted top dog, and that too in a landslide victory by snatching over 30-percent of the total votes.

In the public unveiling in the perfect setting of the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este, the crowds of anxious auto enthusiasts and experts got to view the One-77 in its entirety for the first time, complete with a fully functioning powertrain and the beautiful, never before seen hand crafted interiors. With such a large number of the visitors voting in favour of the One-77, the Aston proved itself as the most desirable automotive art form at its premier during the awards. Dr Ulrich Bez, Chief Executive of Aston Martin, commented on the occasion, "We have achieved a new level of design and craftsmanship which has been clearly recognised by the public here in the homeland of design at Villa d'Este."
