The Aston Martin car firm in Britain has announced the sacking of 95 workers. The Transport and General Workers' Union at a plant in Gaydon in Warwickshire, has said it is concerned at the number of cuts, although discussions with management are on-going. The full work contingent has been told the redundancies were part of 600 job cuts which were announced in December. Aston Martin is famous for its James Bond type sports cars. In March the firm unveiled its new £1 million limited edition sports car, the One-77.
