Pagani Zonda F. Gumpert Appollo. Bugatti Veyron. Ascari A10. Koenegseg CCX. Saleen S7. So many exotic supercars to choose from on the market today, and all at a time when the world is supposedly deep in a recession. It used to be that you could have your Lamborghini or your Ferrari and that was pretty much it.
Back in the late 80's when money was flowing like beer on St. Patrick's Day, you could be a Countach fan or an F40 fanatic. You might even have fancied the DeLorean or a few years later, the Jaguar XJ220 or Porsche 959, but really your choices were fairly limited. Now in this tight economy there are so many great supercars to choose from that you might have a bit of a dilemma when trying to decide what to do with that spare $500,000 burning a hole in your pocket.
If you want a fine Grand Touring car you could go for an Aston Martin or a McLaren SLR, or of course a Ferrari 599 or 612 Scaglietti. If you want a pure speed machine well then you could opt for the Pagani Zonda in hardtop or Al Fresco form, the Saleen S7, Koenegseg CCX, Gumpert Appollo, or of course a Lamborghin Murcielago / Gallardo or the Ferrari Enzo. There are even many fine supercars like the Caterham Seven, Ariel Atom, or the TVR Tuscan that will give guarantee that you won't see another one at a traffic light.
So don't let the doom and gloom emulating from the newspapers and cable news get you down. Rest assured that somewhere out in the world there are still many people who have the means and the desire to purchase all of these great supercars. I'm glad I'll have the opportunity to choose from so many great exotic cars when I hit the megamillions jackpot one of these days!
