Despite the economic crisis biting to the bone in the car industry, Canary Wharf's motor show has seen solid support from manufacturers.
Visitors can expect a strong showing at this year's London Motorexpo including the UK debut of 13 new vehicles and a chance to get behind the wheel of some of them.
Although the future is uncertain and the organisers of this year's show faced some difficulty in putting it together, they remain optimistic.
Motorexpo managing director Graeme Carver, pictured above, said; "I am delighted, particularly in the current climate, that we have received such strong support from manufacturers for this year's Motorexpo.
"The credit crunch has resulted in an extremely painful automotive market and made the creation of our 2009 Canary Wharf event the most difficult show to organise since it launched back in 1996.
"However, one of the key factors to our continued development appears to have been the Motorexpo's different format, which was created here in London and has now withstood the economic acid-test, which gives us a good platform for the future."

On Show
With companies facing the worst automotive market for more than 50 years you would be forgiven for thinking this year's Motorexpo might be less shiny and bright than previous shows.
But the free event at Canary Wharf will actually see a rise in the number of manufacturers taking part.
This year, the 14th Motorexpo on the Wharf, show exhibitors cover the full range of the automotive spectrum with luxury brands including Aston Martin, Bentley and Porsche displaying alongside the solid dependable German brands of BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
City-friendly marques will also be on show with offerings from Smart and a three-wheeled contraption from Piaggio.
Among the wide range of cars and motorbikes on show at the Motorexpo will be 13 new vehicles making their UK debut.
This list includes the Aprilia RSV4 Factory, two new Aston Martins in the form of the V12 Vantage and DBS Volante, Jaguar's all-new XFR and XKR, pictured left, and the eagerly awaited Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
