A very happy Mark Martin has taken his third NASCAR Sprint Cup victory of the 2009 season. Courtesy Hendrick MotorsportsMark Martin and his No. 5 CARQUEST / Kellogg's Chevrolet won the LifeLock 400, his 38th victory in 737 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races. This is his third victory and eighth top-10 finish in 2009. This is also his fifth victory and 29th top-10 finish in 47 races at Michigan International Speedway.
Another Hendrick entry followed Martin home, Jeff Gordon and his No. 24 DuPont / National Guard 'Year of the NCO' Chevrolet posted his 21st top-10 finish in 33 races at Michigan International Speedway. It is his 10th top-10 finish in 2009.
Denny Hamlin grabbed third in his No. 11 FedEx Express Toyota to post his third top-10 finish in seven races at Michigan International Speedway.
Carl Edwards picked up fourth, and Greg Biffle and his Ford led 42 laps, but finished fifth.
Kurt Busch finished eighth which was the best result for a Dodge powered team.
Joey Logano (25th) was the highest finishing rookie.
