YOU may not have believed your eyes had you seen this cavalcade pass by at the weekend.

The North of Scotland Ferrari Owners Club joined with the Aston Martin Owners Club for one of their last meets of the season.

Meeting at The Old Mill Inn at Maryculter, Aberdeen, was a collection of eight Ferraris and 12 Aston Martins, including an F430F1, an F430Fi Spider, a 360 Spider, two 355s, a 550 Maranello and a 575M, as well as a DB6 Mk1 Vantage, four DB7s, a 1987 V8 Vantage, a DB6 Volante and a V8 Saloon.

North of Scotland Ferrari Owners Club organiser David Jackson said the day went without a hitch.

“After some introductions and some friendly banter we had time to admire at close-hand cars that young boys’ dreams are made of.

“From an organiser’s point of view you are always on edge when organising a run for your own club but when you are involved with another car club it is even more intense. I had no need to worry as my counterpart, Phil Gardner, had his members well organised.

“Phil very kindly presented the Ferrari drivers with a commemorative badge as a memento of the day.”

The group left Maryculter heading westwards towards Banchory and onward through Lumphanan to stop at Grampian Transport Museum in Alford, where the Ferraris parked on the oval race track.

They then headed up to Strathdon through Mossat and arrived at Kildrummy Castle Hotel in time for lunch.

They then passed through Strathdon to Dinnet, passing Crathie church and Balmoral and arriving at Braemar where they parted for home.
