It is official; the world has gone eco-friendly mad. In fact, here is the proof! Aston Martin has embarked on its journey to start producing eco friendly cars.
No this doesn’t mean they’ll be an ‘EcoNetic’ version of the Vantage, but instead, it means they will be producing their own city cars!
Aston Martin has already announced the development of their new city car. According to the luxury sports car manufacturer, they will be basing the project on the Toyota iQ, which is currently one of the most popular in its category. It will be labeled the Cygnet.
Whilst the new Cygnet is likely to be a far cry from the like of the DBS or even the DB9, it will still have the Aston Martin touch. This means that it might be the ideal city car for individuals lucky enough to have holiday homes, or needing a city car.
At the moment the models developed are just clay, but it is likely a full on concept will be produced over the next few weeks. Of course, it is likely to be a couple of years away before we see a production model, but it is fair to say it will be the most luxurious (and possible most expensive) production city car available.
