£200k for Aston Martin wreck

£200k for Aston Martin wreck

It doesn't look too clever now but this grime-stained Aston Martin is expected to go under the hammer for around £200,000 in a few days time.

Auction house Bonhams has listed the car for its Monaco event on 30 April but whoever walks away with it - they certainly won't be driving - can expect to spend the same amount again on restoration.

Because fewer than 1,000 were built between 1963 and 1965, the DB5 is highly sought after, this example in particular as it's a left-hand drive model. Movie buffs will also recognise it as being James Bond's car from the movie Goldfinger.

Let's hope it scrubs up nicely
